Robert Schinke:Exellence and You/心得報告

Compared to previous s peakers, the speech of this time impressed me the most. Different from other speakers spent almost all the time talking about how to change the education, professor  Robert Schinke focused more on how to maintain our physical and mental health.       Being a freshmen, studying hard to get a excellent grade is no longer be the only goal in our life, but learning to balance or mix all components of each day properly is what we should pay attention on. We should a llocate time properly in order to live a calm but fulfilling life, and I considered that correctly accept things that meaningful for me, or firmly reject something I couldn't bear is what I need to learn now.   Moreover, being mentally healthy is one of vital factors in our university life. For this, professor  Robert Schinke suggested us develop some good habits, such as being around positive people as possible as we can, connecting with family, understanding our ...

Martyn Rawson:The tasks of teaching in a fluid world/心得報告

Education is one of important issues. It has an ever-lasting influence on human's values, and indirectly affect all aspects of our lives, such as economy, policies, or cultures in every country. Completely different way of teaching in different country has caused the situation of whole world become ''liquid'', which meant we had to have more flexible mind and change the established model of education, in order to fit in this fluid world.    Martyn Rawson emphasized the point above, then proposed examples about education mixed with different backgrounds, for instance, Western education has "imported" a number of Chinese culture.  Moreover,  Martyn Rawson talked about "Nature and nurture" , which meant human beings need to be domesticated and civilized to be useful to society. In view of the practical need of society nowadays, students no longer need the traditional education which was too monotonous to l earn multiculturalism , but more and mor...

Roza Leikin:

With the rapid development of technology, the Internet has become a great tool for us to search what we desperately want to know. To make the best use of information, what skills should we need to develop? Thank to professor Leikin, her rich content of today's speech surely broaden my horizon. In the beginning of the speech, she introduced three of the most essential competencies:The cognitive domain, the intrapersonal domain, and the interpersonal domain, respectively. In it,the competency which impressed me the most was the last one because I used to think that I just need to learn how to be a good team member, although professor Leikin emphasized that leadership was as vital as teamwork. It definately changed my mind and had deeper understanding of "21st century skills".     In the middle of the speech, professor Leikin gave us an interesting test of how to save water, and limited time within 3 minutes. She expected that we could answer something different from others,to te...
